Each mission explains the situation before you start. Replay the recording as often as you like, then reveal the choices when you are ready. Meaning help stays available.

Come back to an unfinished mission

Pause at any stop and explore somewhere else. Each of the three places keeps its own checkpoint, so finishing one does not replace another.
