Thai polite endings depend on the speaker: use ครับ if you’re male, ค่ะ (or คะ in a question) if you’re female. We show both.

Respect people and sacred spaces

Do not touch another person’s head without invitation.

Do not point the soles of your feet at people or Buddha images.

Remove shoes where a home or sacred space signals that expectation.

Make exchanges calm and readable

Give and receive with the right hand; two hands adds formality, and suits a heavier item.

Avoid stepping over people or food.

A smile can manage politeness or tension; it does not automatically mean agreement.

Worked payoff — follow the room

ขอโทษครับ / ขอโทษค่ะ

Excuse me / sorry.

Observe what hosts and local visitors do; these are respectful defaults, not claims that every Thai person behaves identically.
