Can-Do Roleplay

Thai polite endings depend on the speaker: use ครับ if you’re male, ค่ะ (or คะ in a question) if you’re female. We show both.

Small talk starts with shared context

กินข้าวหรือยัง

Have you eaten yet?

With someone you know, this can open a caring everyday exchange.

วันนี้อากาศร้อนนะ

It is hot today, isn’t it?

A shared observation gives the other person an easy turn.

Receive a compliment lightly

ขอบคุณครับ / ขอบคุณค่ะ

Thank you.

ไม่ขนาดนั้น

Not that much / not really.

A modest response is available, but a simple thank-you is safe.

Worked payoff — open, answer, return

กินข้าวหรือยัง — กินแล้ว คุณล่ะ

Have you eaten? — I have. And you?

The useful pattern is the turn exchange, not memorising one “Thai greeting.”
