Word order rules
Adjectives come AFTER nouns.
หมาใหญ่ (dog-big) not ใหญ่หมา
Time phrases often come first.
Thai often sets the scene before the action, though time phrases can also follow the verb for emphasis.
No articles.
No "a" or "the" — context determines definiteness.
Intensifiers follow adverbs.
วิ่งเร็วมาก (run fast very) — มาก always last.
No verb conjugation for tense.
Time words carry tense: เมื่อวาน (yesterday), จะ (future), แล้ว (already).
