Sonorant endings can continue
กิน · ห้อง · ถาม · ร้อย · เร็ว
live endings -n -ng -m -y -w: listen to how the voice can continue at the end
Stop endings close without a released puff
มาก · ผิด · จบ
stop endings -k -t -p: the airflow is cut off, no puff
These three stand for the sounds, not the spellings. Many other letters end a syllable with the SAME /k/, /t/ or /p/ — the sound is what makes it dead.
Do not add an extra vowel after the final consonant.
Worked payoff — compare the ending only
กาน ↔ กาด
continuing final ↔ stopped final
A sound frame, not vocabulary — the pair exists to isolate the ending.
The tone-ladder engine builds these frames and owns their live/dead answer.
